Executing a Joint Postings Run

The joint postings run creates a summary report of all the postings created in the system.

Important: Once the posting run is executed, you should not uncommit preceding accounting runs.
  1. Navigate to the Report Menu screen. Click Main > Reports Menu.
  2. Expand the Accounting (REPORT_ACCOUNT) node.
    Double-clicking the categories expand or collapse the category. Clicking the node icon () also expands or collapses the category.
  3. Double-click Postings Run (E5_ (_US_E5_INTERFACE).
  4. Fill in the filters for the run.
    1. In the Accounting run screen, enter the From Date and Until Date of the report run.
    2. Enter the Month Closure Date. The date entered in Month Closure Date appears in the interface file.
  5. Click Execute.
All the postings created in the system are summarized in the accounting run based on the time period specified. The latest run is added to the top of the Previous Runs table of the corresponding accounting run screen. TM postings added to AWBs in the Manual JV screen are added to the postings run based on the date that the TM postings were added.
If errors are found in the account ledger upon cross-checking, you need to correct the errors before proceeding with the accounting run. After fixing errors, you need to repeat the run by clicking Repeat Run.
